Ios Town, Chora, with a visit to the well-known Ios Windmills, 12 in total with 3 of them completely renovated; a wonderful reminder of the days when the islanders used the power of the wind in everyday life. We continue our stroll in the picturesque Chora where you will be inspired to take amazing photographs of the traditional alleys, houses, and churches.
The next stop is the church of Panagia Gremiotissa, wisely located at the highest point of Ios Town. This pictureperfect church was built in 1797 AD and owes its name to its rocky location. From this wonderful landmark, you will enjoy a panoramic view of the Town.
Our Chora tour continues as we visit the open Theater Odysseas Elytis, named after the Greek Nobel Prizewinning poet. We continue to Homer’s Tomb, the place where allegedly the famous ancient Greek poet restsParagraph, for any kind of product, service or description.
Our last visit is Palaiokastro, a castle built at an altitude of 275m to protect the island from the pirates. Following the traditional path to the top, which includes a scenic 20- minute hike, you will discover the castle ruins, a quaint Cycladic chapel, and breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea.

offers the ''foodies'' that visit Ios the chance to deepen their understanding of the island's culinary traditions and culture. The first stop is the open amphitheater of Odysseas Elytis, rested on top of a hill, with amazing views of Mylopotas beach and Santorini.
Consequently, you will visit Paleokastro, a Venetian castle built at an altitude of 275m to protect the island from the pirates. Following the traditional path to the top, which includes a scenic 20-minute hike, you will discover the castle ruins, a quaint Cycladic chapel, and breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea.
The last stop is the local family-owned Cheesery located on the north side of Ios. One of the family members will show you around the property and guide you through the traditional as well as contemporary ways of cheese making. You will also see old tools, traditional uniforms, and one renovated small old stoned house with two rooms where the cheese tasting will take place. You will taste different types of cheese, local honey, olives, wine and learn about their unique characteristics.
